Using the Five Steps of FLAUNT! to Transform An Industry

October 10, 2019

How many times do you get really excited when you experience frustration? This week’s guest, Cash Butler did, and he took that frustration, created solutions, and built a company whose mission and purpose was to alleviate frustration for vendors and purchasers of legal services. Talk about making lemonade out of lemons, finding a gap and filling it, and in FLAUNT! Terms, Building Your Dreams and Living Your Sparkle!

Cash Butler, CEO and founder of ClariLegal spent 15-plus years in a variety of leadership roles for service providers in the litigation services industry. He witnessed firsthand many of the industry’s inefficiencies, and instead of becoming cynical or switching industries altogether looking for something better, he decided to use his experience as well as his frustration to transform the way legal services were being purchased. Cash is building his dream and living his sparkle!

Today, ClariLegal helps corporations and law firms choose the best service for their needs by providing them with software that accurately compares value sought with value delivered. Through a request for proposal platform, ClariLegal enables legal services buyers and providers to match the exact procurement requirements with services offered, clarifying the process for each party. No more comparing apples to oranges, or being blindsided down the line when you realize that what you thought you were purchasing, was not actually what you were buying.

Most people have a dream of someday writing a book. But for many of those people, that day never comes. Why? Quite simply because life gets in the way. Either they never make the time to write, or when they do sit down to write they are so far out of practice that the writing is difficult and they quit. Similarly, most people don’t actually know where and how to start. They may write down stories or ideas, but because there is no cohesive structure, they are never able to sort through the stories and put them in any kind of meaningful order.

What about you? Is there a book that you were born to write? Seasoned book editor, founder of kn Literary Arts and author of The Book You Were Born to Write, Kelly Notaras dishes with Lora on the “How To” of writing your transformational nonfiction book.

In the workshop you will learn the how and why to establish the daily habit of writing, how to be productive for hours, how to hone your “hook”—a book’s north star—so it’s both saleable and magnetic, navigating a variety of publishing options, and whether to start with a proposal or a full-length manuscript.

Kelly Notaras started her book editing career right out of college by moving to New York, where she worked in the editorial divisions at Avon Books, HarperCollins, Penguin USA and Hyperion Books. She relocated to Boulder, CO where she became the VP, Associate Publisher at spirituality publisher Sounds True. There she received her education in transformational nonfiction, editing books by Sharon Salzberg, Adyashanti, Krishna Das, David Deida and many more.

Spirituality, Yoga & The U.S. Mental Illness Crisis – Could We Be Handling Things All Wrong?

Spirituality, Yoga & The U.S. Mental Illness Crisis – Could We Be Handling Things All Wrong?

September 3, 2019

What would those around you think if, after having built a highly successful business and life, you suddenly had a lightning bolt of energy explode throughout your body and you felt driven to leave everything behind? They would think you were crazy, right? That’s exactly what happened to Joseph “Joey” Nittolo and his family after he began hearing voices in the middle of his shower and sensing people that nobody else could see. Little did he or his family know, but Joey had just experienced a spontaneous spiritual awakening!

Joey went to the doctor but, as you might imagine, the medical world was not equipped to deal with whatever had happened to him. At a loss, he was committed to a mental hospital for a year! And what was so scary was the fact that the more he explained his newfound clarity, the more “insane” he looked!

Crazy, right? The thing was, Joey was not your average spiritual seeker, constantly looking for enlightenment. He was a hardscrabble kid, raised on the streets of Hollywood in the 1970’s. His father was a PIMP and a heroin addict, and as a result of his upbringing, Joey pursued financial success as a means of ensuring he would always be taken care of. Succeeding wildly with a successful career in real estate and film production, Joey produced Pool Hall Junkies, with Christopher Walkin and Chazz Palminteri and even wrote the original, A Man Apart, starring Vin Deisel and Larenz Tate.

How to Create a Vision Board that Actually WORKS!

How to Create a Vision Board that Actually WORKS!

August 23, 2019

Vision Boards are tools that help us “get us what we want,” right? You know, like manifesting fancy homes, fast cars and dreamy relationships. All you have to do is dream big, find a picture, and slap it on your vision board and voila! The Universe will deliver. Except that it doesn’t really happen that way, and then people git disappointed and claim that vision boarding and manifestation is woo-woo stuff that just doesn’t work.

Are you ready to learn the trick to making a vision board that actually works?

We are creative beings, and we create using our emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Unless our emotions, thoughts, and feelings are involved in the creative process, we will not successfully create that which we desire!

What does that mean? It means that unless the images and phrases used on our vision board stir an emotional response within us, they aren’t going to manifest! Join Lora as she teaches you exactly how to create a vision board that works and also why the vision board process works to target the subconscious portion of the brain.

Shed Fears - Not Tears! Break Bad Habits, Overcome Obstacles and Live With Joy - with Vidya Ragu

August 12, 2019

Breaking habits is hard! Whether it’s stop-smoking, cutting out sweets, exercising regularly, going to bed on time or putting your clothes away instead of tossing them on the closet floor, there are a million different things that we intend to do, that we oftentimes don’t! And contrary to popular belief, failing to break a bad habit does not mean that we are weak-willed or that we don’t want what we say we want.

Practical ways to break bad habits easily

If you have you ever felt like you were stuck in a pattern, locked into certain behaviors, or were living in an endless loop of familiarity and same-old-same-old, that you couldn’t seem to overcome, then this show is for you!

For most people, even though the desire to change might be a strong, conscious desire, they still want that change to be as seamless and pain-free as possible. Most people stay in their comfortably familiar territory because it is comfortable and familiar! Change is stressful, and nobody in their right mind chooses to move themselves from a safe, familiar location to an unknown destination.

Why Change is Difficult for Humans

And therein lies the problem! For most of us, even though we want the change, we are too scared to move ourselves out of what we know and into something we don’t know. Which is where Vidya Ragu, one of India’s Leading Learning and Development Specialists comes in. In today’s show, she and Lora discuss practical ways to make that jump – from the safety of our known world to the joy, satisfaction and safety of the unknown, that we desire, but are too scared to attain.

Vidya is the author of the upcoming book, Shed Fears not Tears, which helps people move into the life they desire with ease and grace. She is an International trainer, an award winning entrepreneur, a certified mentor, and has been featured as an expert panelist on many news and television shows, as well as on radio and in leading print media.

Wolf Spirit Animals, Wolf Mythology, and the Wolf as a Spiritual Teacher with Teo Alfero and Lora Cheadle

Wolf Spirit Animals, Wolf Mythology, and the Wolf as a Spiritual Teacher with Teo Alfero and Lora Cheadle

August 5, 2019

For millennia, the wolf has been both vilified and celebrated. There are countless myths worldwide, in cultures from the Ainu people of Japan to the Apache First Nation elders who worshiped the wolf, and even today, people seem to have strong opinions and feelings about wolves. But what does that mean, and why has this one animal captured the imagination of so many, for so long? The Wisdom of the Wolf extends beyond merely being a Spirit Animal, totem, or Spirit Guide. The wolf informs us about who we are as individuals as well as who we are in our human pack. And studying the wolf can help us live better lives, healing those in trauma in crisis as well as those who merely want more depth, connection and understanding in their own lives.

Teo Alfero’s new book, The Wolf Connection: What Wolves Can Teach Us About Being Human, explains that: “Most people only see the wolf as an animal, as I once did. But the wolf has played a key role in human evolution, and we have lived in association with them for so long, that if we look carefully, there are many more ways to consider the being we call “wolf”.”

His California sanctuary, Wolf Heart Ranch, allows us to connect with wolves as multi-faceted beings and deepen our relationship to ourselves and our world through our deepening relationship with wolves. The power of these wolf-human experiences are validated by research and demonstrate that wolves exist on numerous, subtle levels. In fact, there are nine realms of the wolf that can help all humans gain greater self-understanding and reconnect with the primal, wild freedom that we all still carry, even if it is dormant, deep within.

July 22, 2019

Every day a wide variety of headlines call out problems, injustices, and things in our world that quite simply *need* to change. Whether it’s age, gender, or sex discrimination; concern over our planet, strip-mining, drilling and the environment; or fighting for religious freedom, individual freedom, gun rights or the right to be free from gun violence; there are a million and one worthy causes. So many sometimes that it is easy to become overwhelmed and not know where to start or what to do.

While we have all heard the term *activist*, what exactly does that mean? Are activists militants? Can activists be a part of the organizations which they are struggling against? Can you talk to, reason with, or even understand an ardent activist? Prepare for the answers and the discussion in this show to surprise you!

April Young Bennet is a member of a patriarchal religion and she is also an activist who seeks to change certain rules within that organization. No, she did not throw the proverbial baby out with the bathwater! She loves many components of her religion and she is simply seeking to make it better. Stronger. More loving, acceptable and accessible to all. She seeks understanding and to foster a common ground with those who do not think as she does, and through her respectful conversation and the willingness to truly listen and understand, she is succeeding in places where others have not.
